How it works

Checkout by Chargebee, payment by Mollie. Your receipt arrives by email.
Within one working day of confirmed payment we email you a printable A4 certificate (PDF) and an e-card. If you give us their email and a date, we email them on that day too.
Our local team plants the trees at Fagrabrekka between mid-May and the end of June 2027. If the ground or the weather isn't ready, they go in during the next window, late August to the end of September.
Choose “24 December” and order by 23 December (Swiss time), and we email the recipient on Christmas Eve. Order on 24 December and choose “25 December” for Christmas Day.
Please pay by card for Christmas orders: bank payments can take a few days to confirm, and we send gifts once payment is confirmed.
The recipient's name, your dedication and your name; the farm, Fagrabrekka in north-west Iceland; the species planted there, native downy birch, rowan and willow; and the planting season.
It doesn't name a single tree. Trees are planted together on the plot, and not every young tree survives its first Icelandic winters, so we report on the plot as a whole.
As the buyer, you can withdraw within 14 days of your order. For gifts ordered by 24 December, you have until 13 January 2027.

No. Your trees are planted together with others on the plot at Fagrabrekka. Not every young tree survives its first winters, so we report on the plot as a whole rather than on single trees.
Yes, with Give a copse and Give a woodland. The trees grow on a working farm, so visits are arranged with the landowner: email us and we will find a time. Travel to Iceland isn't included.
Yes. Each order is for one recipient, so place one order per person.
Yes, until we send the certificate. Email contact@reforesticeland.com from the email address you ordered with.
No. We make no carbon claim for trees bought by individuals. What you give is native woodland planted on a farm in Iceland, and that is what the certificate says.
